New review from a happy client: London Vocalist for hire / Live jazz band

Last Friday, on 8th of March 2013, The International Women’s Day, I had a pleasure to sing at a private birthday party. It was the very first booking via this website: www.singer-for-hire.co.uk. The client – a wife who wanted to surprise the husband with some nice music for his birthday – told me she would send me a list of suggested songs. However, due to being busy, she did not manage to do so.. Only less than 24 hours before she texted me that most famous jazz standards would be fine, and also one particular song of a particular singer would be great, IF we could prepare it. Now, how many singers are there? Tons and tons of various artists whose work sadly I still do not know… Yet the singer she mentioned was no other than Ingrid Michaelson! one of my most beloved ‘ singing sisters’ of mine (as i call them), whose work I hugely admire! And so of course the song in question: “you and i” was known to me, as all the songs of Ingrid are. I could not be happier: my very first booking included singing the song of someone who is like my invisible mentor and teacher!

This Monday we received the feedback from the lovely couple:
” Thank you so much for Friday. Everybody really enjoyed having you here and A*** especially loved the You and I What are the chances that I get the singer who also loves Ingrid Michaelson! Absolutely adore her music and brilliant to hear that you have met her!! “.

What are the chances indeed… and yet, sometimes even when you think there is no chance at all, one appears right before your very eyes 🙂

I was very nervous, while organising my wedding party, but clear communication from Maja, personalised service made me feel really confident about this part of the evening. We wanted 4 piece band and Maja made it happen for a very reasonable price!
